Match Report: Inter Legends FC 8–4 Tendring All Stars
On Sunday, Inter Legends took to the pitch at Harwich & Parkeston FC for another thrilling charity football match, this time against Tendring All Stars. The afternoon had everything you’d want from legends football – goals, drama, laughter, and most importantly, a huge fundraising total for a cause close to all our hearts.
In front of a passionate crowd, the legends football match produced a stunning 12 goals, with Inter Legends eventually running out 8–4 winners. The team rolled back the years with some vintage finishing, while Tendring All Stars fought bravely to keep the contest alive. Every strike was cheered loudly, and the sense of occasion made it one of the standout games in our calendar.
But as always with charity football, the real victory came off the pitch. Thanks to ticket sales, donations, and the generosity of everyone involved, the day raised an incredible £8,697.23 for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) – one of the highest figures we’ve ever achieved from a single charity football match.
The importance of events like this can’t be overstated. Charity football is more than just a game – it’s about uniting communities, celebrating the joy of the sport, and using legends football to make a difference in people’s lives. Every legends football match we play is built on that mission, and to see nearly £9,000 raised for CRY was a truly proud moment for everyone at Inter Legends.
Harwich & Parkeston FC provided the perfect setting, and the atmosphere in the stands was electric throughout. Supporters were treated not just to goals and entertainment but also to the chance to meet their heroes in person – another reason why legends football has such a special place in the hearts of fans across the UK.
